ECE implementation at Accenture Brazil

The challenge in this opportunity, working with an important business like Accenture, was to enhance the skills and knowledge of their Oracle BRM consulting team. This involved developing a solution for their convergent appraisal using the Elastic Changing Engine (ECE) for the implementation at Vivo Telefónica Brazil.

The proposed solution was to hire an Oracle BRM education provider to adequately train the IT team. This was done through a two-week training program focused on pricing and rating configuration, implementation, management, and issue resolution in ECE, PDC, and their integration with the Oracle BRM tool.

There are two main results tracked in this experience:

• The Brazil Accenture employees honed their skills and specialized their knowledge in creating solutions for the Oracle BRM convergent billing system. They used the Pricing Design Center (PDC) and Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) applications, enabling them to implement this solution with their client, Vivo Telefónica.

• Also, the company could form a team of experts dedicated to this technology, which is currently in short supply in the market. The Oracle ECE/PDC training helped the company improve its cost-effectiveness and reduce the expenses associated with billing processes.

In addition, Accenture Brazil managed to lower the costs of hiring specialized Oracle ECE/PDC personnel, thereby preventing disruptions in operations by preparing their IT team.
