Solutions Architect. Software Engineer – Specialist (P4)

Job Description

We are seeking a Technology leader who will be responsible for driving the vision, product roadmap and development of applications. In this position, you will guide the efforts of your development team and build high performance teams as we build the next generation of Equifax Applications.

Job Expectations

  1. Work with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and other IT teams to define the vision, roadmaps, strategy for Store Systems based on customer and stakeholder needs, company goals and strategy, market trends and technology advancement
  2. Work closely with a nimble team of software engineers and enterprise architect to ensure the solutions meets our business needs using Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Identify appropriate resource needs; work with appropriate management to get resource commitments; make recommendations in sourcing strategy
  4. Ensure contractual documentation is in place, utilizing appropriate procurement processes
  5. Create and manage delivery schedule; track progress in completing project tasks. Ensure project schedules are as efficient as possible, utilizing critical path analysis where appropriate; and ensure project resources accurately charge time to appropriate tasks.
  6. Manage scope – utilize appropriate tools and processes to manage/track requirements and conflicts; ensure appropriate change management processes/tools are used
  7. Manage cost; provide level of effort and estimates, ensure financial forecast is created and maintained through the project
  8. Track and manage risk and issues; appropriately escalate to management and project stakeholders
  9. Prepare and present status reports on a regular basis to management and project stakeholders
  10. Coordinate with Security Architecture and Engineering functions regarding the selection and implementation of applicable controls.
  11. Plan for and work flexibly to deadlines
  12. Maintain a leadership expertise on current technology, trends, and best practices

Required Experience

  1. 8+ years of hands-on experienced with expert level Java and Spring development
  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience developing microservices based technologies
  3. 3+ years of experience working with relational and NoSQL database architectures, in particular Postgressql
  4. 3+ years of experience developing in message queueing (publish and subscribe) architectures
  5. 3+ years of experience development in service oriented, RESTful API technologies
  6. 3+ years of experience working on agile development projects
  7. Proven experience working with containers and CI/CD technologies
  8. Proven experience working in distributed development teams
  9. Excellent analytical skills to think through requirements and ensure designs makes sense both in the short and the longer-term
  10. Excellent written and oral communications skills
  11. Highly versed in common development, collaboration, and design tools, including Jira, Confluence
  12. 2+ years’ experience building and deploying applications to GCP/AWS infrastructure
  13. Experience of handling a team of 5 members

Additional Skills

  1. Open Source development experience
  2. Large scale, high performance system development
  3. DevOps or CI/CD experience
