Born and raised in the farming village of Bonupalli in Andhra Pradesh, India, Prasad Gali made his journey across the world to Canada to pursue his career in the tech industry.
In 2006, Prasad graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad in Hyderabad, Telangana, India with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. However, he started growing interest for IT along the way and entered the IT field right out of college.
“During my engineering final year, I have developed keen interest on computer science, and enrolled myself in various IT trainings which helped me landing in IT sector,” he said.
Prasad started out as a software engineer at Wipro Infotech in 2006 and worked in various locations across India. Up until now, Prasad has worked in many different countries including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Nigeria, Ghana, United States and Canada, his most recent move and where he started his new journey with Congero Technology Group.
In 2019, Prasad joined the Congero family as a Big Data Principal Consultant. Working at Congero gave Prasad “flexibility in exploring new areas.” He also emphasized the leadership and working environment where he truly enjoyed working with his teammates.
“I appreciate that the leadership team has always been open, trustful, and ready to listen to new ideas,” he said. “I am happy to be associated with such a great team.”
Throughout his career, Prasad keeps an open mind and flexibility in learning every day, as the IT field is ever-changing. For Prasad, his daily inspiration comes from people he works with as “everybody brings something to the table.” Prasad finds what motivates him to give his best lies in new ideas and working with a team where everyone is a stakeholder.
“I strive to always be open to broadening my horizons with changing IT landscape and take different viewpoints from people who I look up to,” he said.
Even though Prasad has high goals to pursue in his career, he reveals that he’s still a farmer at heart.
“Goals are always moving targets,” he said. “When it comes to my professional life, I would like to sum it up as “stay hungry, stay foolish” and in personal life, eventually go back to my roots as a farmer and keep my family happy together.”
Apart from the busy times pursuing his goals, Prasad enjoys playing badminton, watching crickets, and movies. He also likes to spend time teaching as a way of giving back to the community. Prasad speaks Telugu when at home and is fluent in Hindi and English.
