Minacs / Mass Mobile (MVNO — Mobile Virtual Network Operator)
Congero implemented Oracle BRM as the core billing engine for Mass Mobile, an MVNO reselling AT&T wireless services. The project introduced an innovative split-billing capability allowing personal and business phone numbers to coexist on a single device, with separate billing accounts per line.
Challenge
Mass Mobile required a billing platform that could support a novel dual-number model — one handset carrying both a personal number (paid by the individual) and a business number (paid by the employer). This required a technically complex split-billing architecture with separate consumer and corporate accounts linked to the same device.
Solution or technology
Congero implemented Oracle BRM as the MVNO billing engine, delivered in a 6-month timeframe. The solution ran fully on Amazon Cloud infrastructure and featured a modern UI layer on top of BRM. Split-billing was configured and tested to support individual consumer accounts and multi-employee corporate plans simultaneously. Development teams were distributed across India and Eastern Europe.
Results
Platform delivered and live within 6 months. Successfully onboarded business customers with split-billing operational at scale. First Congero deployment fully hosted on AWS, demonstrating cloud-readiness of Oracle BRM.
Congero’s Role
Congero served as the lead implementation partner, responsible for the full Oracle BRM configuration, split-billing architecture design and setup, cloud deployment on AWS, testing, and production go-live support. Congero coordinated a distributed development team across India and Eastern Europe and worked directly with Minacs throughout the engagement.
Impact
Demonstrated the viability of a fully cloud-hosted Oracle BRM solution with a modern UI, setting a new standard for MVNO billing implementations and expanding Congero’s capabilities in the telecommunications market.
