JCDecaux
The Odoo ERP implementation successfully modernized the client’s core business operations by replacing fragmented and manual processes with a fully integrated, centralized system.
The project delivered a stable, scalable ERP platform covering inventory, suppliers, customers, and end-to-end accounting, supported by strong testing, user documentation, and structured training. As a result, the organization improved data reliability, operational control, and readiness for future growth.
Challenge
Before the project, the client operated with legacy systems, Excel Sheets, .csv files and inconsistent data structures, resulting in limited visibility across inventory, accounting, suppliers, and customers.
Key challenges included:
- Business users were overloaded with day-to-day responsibilities, limiting their availability to properly validate processes and clearly identify business/data gaps.
- Legacy data that required cleansing, transformation, and validation before migration.
- Manual and disconnected processes increase operational risk and inefficiency.
- Changes to certified inventory data after testing phases, creating risks to timeline, data integrity, and system stability.
These factors increased project complexity and required strong governance, replanning, and risk management.
Solution or technology
The project implemented Odoo ERP as an integrated, end-to-end enterprise solution. The scope included configuration, data migration, testing, documentation, and user enablement for the following modules:
- Inventory Management
- Suppliers and Customers
- Full Accounting stack (AR, AP, General Ledger)
- Manufacturing module (added during execution)
Key activities included:
- Transformation and migration of legacy data into Odoo, aligned with the new data model.
- Configuration of core ERP modules to support operational and financial processes.
- Extensive environment testing (functional, integration, and user acceptance testing).
- Development of a clear, user-friendly manual tailored to business users.
- Planning and execution of structured training sessions for all end users.
