Challenge

Before implementing EMBRIX Cloud Billing Platform, CoopeGuanacaste faced significant operational and scalability challenges. Its legacy billing system relied heavily on manual processes, leading to recurring billing errors, high operational effort, and extended response times for customers.

As the cooperative continued to grow, the existing billing solution could not scale accordingly, causing delays in the monthly billing cycle and impacting service reliability. Additionally, limited integration with critical systems such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways resulted in data inconsistencies, synchronization issues, and inefficiencies in customer and service management

Solution or technology

To address these challenges, Congero implemented EMBRIX Cloud Billing Platform, an enterprise-grade, cloud-native revenue management and monetization solution built on a microservices architecture. EMBRIX replaced the cooperative’s legacy billing system with a modern, integrated, and highly automated billing engine designed to support complex billing scenarios and enable future growth.

The implementation included the deployment and configuration of EMBRIX’s core modules for rating, charging, billing, and revenue management, enabling automated consumption-based pricing, differentiated tariffs, and the generation of invoices. EMBRIX was seamlessly integrated with CoopeGuanacaste’s ERP, CRM, and payment gateway systems through APIs, ensuring real-time data synchronization and a single source of truth for customer and billing information.
